Fun Fun Weekend!

Hey blog readers!
So...I love weekends, jus sayin. I mean, there's no school, no school, annnd uh....did I mention there's no school? Ha. I'm gonna be positive. Anyways, I love weekends. So I'll start with Friday. My first and only class for that day was Chemistry. Did I pay attention? You bet I did...not. Hey, I've got a "legitimate" excuse. It was 1A/2A Regional basketball in Wyoming and my little brother was playing at the same time I had class. So, being thankful for the invention of wireless internet, I go to mywyoming.org and I watched Kennan's game. The game started at I think 10 and I watched it until 10:15, because that's what time my class ended, and since I didn't have English 1010 (WOO!!) I headed to the institute building to finish watching the game. That....was a bad idea. I got waaaay into the game and I was in a spiritual building so....you can just imagine. It was an awesome game! Except, I only watched till the last 5 minutes of the game because my roommate made me go to Religion in Life. ;) Just kidding! But actually, she really did make me go but I'm glad I did because it was a really good devotional! So anyways....I was sitting in the cultural hall where Religion in Life was held, freaking out because I didn't know how my brothers game was going and what was going on, but THANK YOU CELLULAR EXISTENCE! But for reals, I am thankful for cell phones. My mom texted me that Kennan's team won! Yeah! Okay so NOW I can pay attention to the devotional. ;) So, the speaker was a girl who got in a sledding accident and was paralyzed. She told about how she would never take back what she went through because she learned so much and grew closer to the Savior. It was a great story! Well then me and my roommate go home and we eat our favorite: dino chicken nuggets! :D Long story. Actually it's a short story, I just don't want to talk about it.  Then about 3-ish, my married friend from high school asked me if I wanted to wish the Cokeville basketball girls good luck against our rival Burlington. Duh I wanted to! Ha. So I walk over to her apartment and we call one of our friends on the basketball team. She put us on speaker so we could address the whole team. We wish them good luck and we give them words of wisdom. Oh, it was so awesome! I love those girls so much! I miss them and my coaches so so much! They are such great examples to me. And they are even more amazing because they beat Burlington! First time in a long time we've beaten them in basketball. Awesome. :) Okay, so after that great experience, I came home and took a shower and tried looking my best because I was going out with a friend of mine from high school. He took me out to Coldstone and it was delicious! Then we walked to the Aggie basketball game together. It was such a fun night! I really enjoyed it!
Saturday!!
I had a Relief Society service project in the morning and it was so fantastic because they fed us breakfast! I mean....the serving part was what was fantastic....Haha it was all fantastic. Being served breakfast just added to it. ;) Our service project was making 'Thank You Cards' for the missionaries serving in Ogden. Let's just say I am not creative AT ALL. It took me a long time to come up with a design for one card! But I made some cards and me and my roommate headed home.
You'd think that was all we would do but that's false advertisement! Me and my high school friend Brittney decided to plan something for the day. So me, Hayley (my roommate btw), and Brittney headed to Wendy's to eat and then headed to the Cheap Theater and watched "The Muppets". If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it! It's so cute and so funny! Oh and uhh....Jim from "The Office" is on there. :) (big dramatic, in-love sigh) Love him! :) Haha. So I spent the middle of the day with my best friend from high school and my best friend from college. Love you guys!
So now night rolls around and I planned to spend the night hanging with some of my guy friends. It was so much fun! Haha. We started out going to Taco Bell and then we went to Wal Mart to play sardines. Let's just say, I stink at hiding! Haha. I didn't know where to hide so I panicked and just sat down in the middle of an isle. Hahaha the funny thing is, no one could really find me! We actually had to text the last 2 people to tell them where we were. Oh it was great. I never let them forget about it either. :) Well, then we went back to one my friends' apartment and we talked and threw a football at each other. It was really fun actually. Haha. It was....ahem late when I decided to head home. It was just a super fun weekend and I hope there are more like it. :)
I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this. Blog ya later! ;)

Happy President's Day!

Hey there bloggers! I know you were all devastated that I didn't blog for a long time (totally joking! Don't take me seriously), but you don't have to be sad anymore! :) Smile! Be happy!
Anyways....So, it was President's Day weekend this...weekend. Haha. It was super awesome because I didn't have to worry about school today! Best day EVER! I mean....darn! I wish I could have gone to school. Yeah.... It's really not worth pretending. OK! Positive! So Saturday night, me and my roommate decided to attend and Aggie basketball game! Woo! Go Aggies! It was super fun to be with my roommate and to sit in front of some funny guys and to sit behind a couple of my guy friends who are pretty crazy. ;) (I love you guys) Yeah it was tons of fun even though the Aggies lost.
Ok, now we were walking home and holy cow: it was snowing! Like...A LOT and pretty crazy! So of course, me and my roommate decided to play in it. But we were doing it in style. We made a video called "Winter Wonderland" and if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you watch it. :) (it's on Facebook btw) We had so much fun! Making snow angels, creeping on a couple dancing....oh yeah! :) Haha
Ok, now Sunday. So for this whole week I was preparing a lesson for Relief Society. It was on Joseph Smith and it was so amazing! I learned so much and my testimony just grew so much! It was the funnest lesson I have ever prepared! And I want to thank my roommate for being willing to sing for my lesson. It was very much appreciated. :) I love her, especially for that. Alright, so since we didn't have school tomorrow, me and my roommate decided to see how late we could stay up. We watched 2 movies to help us stay up. The movies we watched were "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "I Hate Valentine's Day". They both are pretty good movies. Oh and we only stayed up till 2:30 in the morning. :)
Now that brings me to today! :) Me and my roommate woke up at......noon. (don't judge us) It was so fantastic to sleep in and catch up on some sleep. Let me tell ya! After we woke up, we decided maybe we should get ready for the day and go shopping for some food. Wal Mart baby!! We got our food and headed back to our apartment and ate some pizza. Mmm mm good! Then all we did was just bum...on our computers till about 5:20. And that's when I found out that I needed to be at the church at 6 if I wanted to be in my ward's talent show. :/ Talk about getting ready super fast! Haha.  Well at 6, we were at the church and I practice the song I was planning on performing in the talent show, "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, (love him).  At 7:30, the talent show started. Oh gosh. It was so much fun! I wasn't nervous at all and my friends gave me a standing ovation! It was just so super fun! And to see everyone else's talents, oh it was great! I especially loved what these 2 girls did. They created like a Disney medley. It was so cute! One of the girls sounded exactly like Snow White, the mice on Cinderella, and the weird noised birds in Little Mermaid. It was just a super cute performance. And I love everyone in my ward! They are so nice! Haha. They give great compliments too, btw. :) It was a really fun night.
OH! Ok, so me and my roommate borrowed "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" from a friend downstairs so we go down there to return it. We get to the 3rd floor and there's this kid who demands to know where my roommate is from. She says Idaho and he's happy because he's from Idaho as well. He then asks me if I was from Idaho and I say "No. I'm from Wyoming. Yeah!!" You know, I take pride in the state I'm from. Well then he says "Oh, steers and queers come from Wyoming." :o What in the gadfree am I supposed to say to that? I don't even know this kid and he's saying stuff like that! And he doesn't just say it once, he says it multiple times! Thank heavens I had friends down there! One of them stood up and said "Dude, that's not true. She is from Wyoming and she is a beautiful, talented girl." And he gives me a hug. A true man! Anyways...I doubt I will ever speak to that Idahoan again. But I appreciate the guy who stood up for me. :)
Anyways....President's Day weekend was a really super fun weekend and I am so thankful for the friends I have here. They make life up here just so fun and enjoyable. :) I love you guys!
Oh and for my sister who asked about the institute guy....there's a cute guy in my institute class on Mondays and Wednesdays. My roommate and I are practically in love with him....haha. :)

Being Sick but Enjoying Life

In case you didn't know, I'm sick. I have a really bad cold and it's either my body is aching or I'm crying and sneezing. But that's not really the point of this blog. I'm going to keep it positive. :)
So I hope my parents aren't reading this, ;), but I skipped my Wednesday classes because I was..well..sleeping. But I'm so glad I did or I would've been called "The Annoying One" from sniffling so much! Haha. I did go to one class that day and it was institute. Oh how I love institute! I wish I could take that class all day everyday! I'm in the Book of Mormon class and it is truly amazing. I wish everyone would take that class because it is phenomenal. Anyways, I go to that class and learn about the Spirit World. OH! Amazing.
Well...after that glorious institute class, I came home and watched my #1 favorite movie, Ever After. If you haven't seen that movie, please go watch it because you haven't lived. (jus sayin)
Okay. So after watching that awesome movie, I grabbed my coloring books from my room and I color. :) I love coloring. Oh gadfree....I'm totally going to sound like a teenager here, but it's seriously like the one of the best things ever. It makes me so happy. :) I colored until about....6 o'clock because that's when my favorite TV series is on. Ghost Hunters!! If you get scared pretty easy, this isn't the show for you. :) Well the show, it was time for me to hit the hay. First time I've gone to bed before 12 in a loooong time!! Ha. But I also decided that if I wanted to fall asleep before 12, I had to watch a movie and what better choice than my favorite Disney Pixar movie A Bug's Life? :) (I fell asleep half-way through)
So now I come to today. I woke up about 9:30 and I realized that I was the only one in my apartment. So, thinking it's okay to look not so good around my own apartment alone I decided to get some breakfast. Knock knock! Oh joy. Who could this be. I was almost half tempted to not open the door because of how awful I looked but I did anyways. It was the maintenance guy. Yeah, I looked beautiful, let me tell ya. :/ Well....putting that aside, I decided to get dressed and attempt to look decent for the public. I then left and walked to my volleyball class.
I was debating whether or not to go and I am so glad I did! I sat next to a girl in my vball class who was the one that I talked about in my last blog. She was the girl who hurt her knee. Anyways....I had so much fun watching my classmates play! That's not an exaggeration. It was super fun. Haha. My classmates are hilarious and it was fun to talk about them (in a nice way). It was great.
My next class was institute. I'm tellin ya, it's my favorite class! But the class that I'm in on Tuesdays and Thursdays is Doctrine and Covenants. It's still super great! I love the teacher. He was my second daddy when he lived in my hometown. He's so great! Anyways...on Tuesday, he asked me to play a song for Thursdays class and so I chose to play "A River Flows In You" by Yiruma. Look it up, it's super pretty. Anyways, it was really fun sharing my talent and to get the compliments after class. Haha this one kid in my class comes up to me and was asking me about the song I played and then he holds his hand up to give me a high five so I give him a five but he awkwardly grabs my hand and I kind just like....hold his hand I guess....? Haha anyways, it was super awkward. I really didn't know what to do.
The rest of my day is kind of boring so I won't bore you guys. You're welcome. ;) Well....I hope you guys have been enjoying my blog and even if you haven't, I have! Have a fantabulous weekend! :)

Happy Valentine's Day....?

Hey everyone! So I'm sure you are all aware that it's Valentine's Day! Yay! I hope you had a fabulous day because mine was oh so interesting. Let me tell you about it....
It all started when I woke up at 9:30 and stayed in my bed till 9:50. (don't judge me) I had to leave at 10:00 for my class, FYI.
Well...me and my roommate didn't end up leaving our apartment until 10:18. I don't think we've ever walked so fast to get to any of our classes in our entire lives. Haha.
The first class of my day was volleyball. I was a little late but I was there just in time to get an airhead from my instructor. Oh yeah! :) Anyways....my instructor splits us all in teams of 5 and we play the game 'From the Side'. Don't try to get me to explain how to play because that's not important. I had 3 guys and 1 girl on my team and we totally won the first round! Ah yeah! Except....the girl that was on my team did something to her knee and it blew up like a balloon and turned black like crisped toast. One word: gross. Two words: really gross. :/ That's one.
Alright, so after my team won, we started to play a second round. Towards the end of the round, I look over on the sideline and I see one of my classmates on the floor, trying to push himself up and shaking uncontrollably. Everyone literally just stopped and watched. It was so scary! My instructor runs over to him and says "Are you having a seizure?" The kid lies down on his back and says "I can't get up." Okay, talk about the freakiest thing I have ever witnessed. Finally, my instructor calls the medics and after the kid calmed down, she asked him what happened. He said that when he went to set the ball, his thumb was bent all the way backwards and he remembers it hurting and then he blacked out, fell to the floor and couldn't pick himself up. Freaky! Well...the medics come, help him, and then we just kept playing some volleyball. That's two.
Ok....so now we're playing 6-on-6 volleyball. There's this guy on my team that's way past 6 foot 5 and he can hit the ball really really hard! Well...I set him the ball (of course) and he hits the ball hard right at this girls face! She goes down and doesn't come back to play. That's three. Then my instructor literally kicked us out of the gym after that. Yeah...it was a great day for volleyball. :) :/
I know this is getting to be long, just bear with me.
Alright, next was institute. Love that class so much! I'm taking a Doctrine and Covenants one and it is amazing! I don't want to talk too much about it. I'll save it for another time.
So my day goes on, and at 4:30, me and my roommate head to Winger's to eat dinner with my brother and a bunch of his friends.  It was....a...great fun time. Me and my roomy have been craving hamburgers for a long time and we finally got the opportunity to eat one! You can't even imagine how excited we were! And the hamburger we had was so uber delicious and it was awesome! :)
My day ended with me and my roommate sitting around our computers watching chick flicks and eating chocolate brownies. :) Yep! It was a....great Valentine's Day! :)

I'm a Newbie.....

So...I'm pretty new to this blogging thing but am way excited to be starting one! :)

I'm almost 100% positive that no one will read my first blog post, but who cares? I'm having fun! So I'll start by telling whoever may be reading this and may read it regularly that the point of this blog is for me to write stories and things that have happened to me. Almost like a journal type thing, but not even close to what I'd REALLY write if this were my journal. Haha. No worries though....I won't write anything embarrassing or degrading, I won't mention names, and I'll try and keep everything positive and happy!

So you blog readers, I hope you enjoy my blog. :)
